Margaret, Director

Margaret is committed to providing programs to children and families that offer joy, wonder and fun on the farm!  She oversees operations, and brings a vast knowledge of child development, program organization and design, best practices in children's program administration and teaching, and a lifetime love of horses, the outdoors, arts, and religion.

Margaret graduated from Oglethorpe University with a Masters in the Art of Teaching, is a certified teacher, and graduated cum laude  from Rutgers University.  Formerly in sales and marketing, Margaret has been a teacher for many years, and has been a staff member at several camps before becoming director at Magnolia Farm.  She joined the American Camp Association in 1999, and enjoys attending conferences where she exchanges ideas with directors from camps throughout the country on best practices, program offerings, and camp management.

When not working at the farm, Margaret stays active with her three children. As a family, they enjoy boating, fishing, camping and hiking throughout the national parks.   She is active in the community, and has volunteered at her children's schools, in the Junior League, Cub Scouts, and as a Girl Scout Leader and Sunday school teacher.  One of her favorite community projects has been hosting children from the Agape Center at Magnolia Farm's Summer Day Camp!
